What is changing
Türkiye brought crypto-asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board (SPK) in 2024. Providers on SPK's 'operating list' are allowed to continue while they seek authorisation; being on the list is not an authorisation. In March 2026 the SPK extended the authorisation deadline. The new date depends on SPK-authorised custodians starting to serve platforms.

- deadline extended
SPK decision 18/617 extends two deadlines: providers on the 'operating list' to obtain authorisation, and platforms to sign and file custody agreements. The new deadline will be set after SPK-authorised custodians begin providing custody to platforms widely.
