52 Crypto Firms Are on Türkiye's SPK List. None Is Licensed as a Platform Yet

The short version: 52 companies are on the SPK's list of crypto-asset service providers operating in Türkiye (1 Oct 2026): 43 trading platforms and 9 custody applicants. The SPK says the list “does not mean that the companies on it are authorised” (our translation). 3 of them, all banks, hold an SPK operating permit as crypto-asset custodians: Akbank, Garanti BBVA (bank) and Yapı Kredi (bank), approved on 4 Jun 2026 (SPK bulletin 2026/34). No trading platform has an operating permit in the SPK bulletins from 2025/1 to 2026/72 (SPK list).

Who Is on the Operating List

Companies whose names carry global brands include Binance Turkey, Bybit, OKX TR, KuCoin TR, MEXC, Gate TR, WhiteBIT. Most changed their names to the form “… Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu AŞ”; for 13 of the 52, the former name the SPK prints is a different name altogether, for example Bybit's Turkish company was Narkasa Yazılım Ticaret AŞ. Being on the list is what allows a provider to keep operating while it applies; the list exists under provisional article 11 of Capital Markets Law 6362.

Bitexen is on the list with an SPK note: from 23 September 2026 it may accept no new customers and list no new crypto-assets until further notice, and it may only carry out existing customers' transactions.

Who Is Leaving

A second SPK list (21 Sep 2026) names 56 companies that will not continue crypto-asset service provider activity; 10 of them are formally in liquidation (“Tasfiye Halinde”). They include companies named Coinbase Turkey, Bitget, Bitfinex, BingX TR (SPK).

New Entrants

The SPK has also approved 4 requests to set up new platforms (establishment permits), for example Fiba and Goldtag in June 2026 and Ahlatcı in September 2026. An establishment permit is not an operating permit (full lists and permits).
