How the Türkiye tracker is built. Data is official and read from the SPK on every build.
Sources
- SPK “Faaliyette Bulunanlar Listesi”, the provisional list of crypto-asset service providers that declared they would keep operating, as of 1 Oct 2026: number, current name, former name.
- SPK “Tasfiye Sürecinde Olanlar Listesi”, providers that will not continue, as of 21 Sep 2026.
- SPK weekly bulletins 2025/1 to 2026/72 (139 PDFs): crypto operating permits, establishment permits, decisions on deadlines, block decisions and criminal complaints that name crypto.
- Resmî Gazete, 2 July 2024 (Law 7518) and SPK communiqué III-35/B.1.
Source Hierarchy
- official SPK, Resmî Gazete.
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Names
We show a short name taken from the legal name by removing the legal form and phrases such as “Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu” (crypto-asset trading platform), and correct casing where the SPK prints dotless ı in Latin brand names (Kucoın → KuCoin). The legal name is always shown. A name that contains a global brand does not tell us how the company relates to that brand, and we make no claim about it.
Labels
- SPK operating permit: an SPK bulletin records approval of an operating permit.
- On SPK operating list: listed; the SPK says this is not an authorisation.
- On list, SPK restriction: listed with an SPK note restricting the business.
- Establishment permit only: an SPK bulletin approved setting up a new platform; no operating permit.
- Not continuing / In liquidation: on the SPK list of those not continuing; “in liquidation” where the name carries “Tasfiye Halinde”.
- Name change: “renamed” where the former name on the list starts with a different name, not just a different legal form.
- Block decisions: counted only where the decision text names crypto.
Limits
- Bulletins before 2025 are not read.
- SPK block lists that do not name the activity are not counted.
- Names of individuals in SPK criminal complaints are not republished.
