Trading crypto in Brazil after 30 October: who has applied to the Central Bank and who is leaving

An automatically updated list: processes in BCB data, firms that say they applied, announced exits and what to do with your balance.

Summary as of 20 Oct 2026: no platform is listed as an authorised SPSAV in Central Bank of Brazil data. Being in process or saying you have applied is not an authorisation. This page does not recommend any platform and is not financial or legal advice.

From 30 October 2026, firms that were already providing crypto services in Brazil and did not apply to the Central Bank must stop those services within 30 days (Res. BCB 520, art. 88, §7). Firms that applied on time may continue until BCB decides (§6). For the 170 platforms and entities we track, this list shows what the official data says and what the firms themselves have published. It is generated automatically on every data update; once BCB grants authorisations, the first section becomes the list of authorised firms.

Watch 6 November: under the wording BCB Resolution 589 gave to art. 91 of Res. 520, from 6 November banks and payment institutions may not enable operations with unauthorised virtual-asset providers; the carve-out for firms “in the authorisation process” was removed. Read literally, this may affect BRL deposits and withdrawals (for example via Pix) even at platforms that have applied. See the rule text.

The information comes from the company itself or, where there is none, from the press (shown next to each source). No process for these entities appears in the latest BCB reference date; the filing may postdate it or may have been made by another group entity.

4. No public statement found (127)

We found no public statement about an authorisation filing in the sources reviewed. This describes our search, not any wrongdoing. Major brands in this group: Bitget, Gate, Inter, Kraken, KuCoin, MEXC. Another 121 entities, most of them with an SPSAV-type legal name in the CNPJ register, are in the full table.

What users should do

  1. Check your platform in the VASP Tracker table and at the official source: BCB open data and the Central Bank's institution finder.
  2. Read the notices on the company's official channel (app, help centre, registered email): withdrawal deadlines, balance conversion and account migration.
  3. If the platform is leaving or has not applied, withdraw or transfer your assets within the stated deadline to an account or wallet in your own name. Check the network and address before sending.
  4. Download your transaction history and tax statements before the account closes.
  5. Be wary of messages about "mandatory migration", "release fees" or "re-registration" outside the official app. No legitimate firm asks for your password, 2FA code or private key. See the Central Bank's scam alerts and CVM's warnings on irregular offers.
  6. Crypto-assets are not covered by the FGC deposit guarantee. If something goes wrong, complain through the company's channel and, if needed, consumidor.gov.br or Procon; Law 14,478/2022 applies the Consumer Protection Code (art. 13).
