What Is Changing
Barbados regulates virtual asset service providers under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2026 (Act 2026-25), assented to and in force since 16 October 2026. The Financial Services Commission administers the Act and licenses or registers providers serving persons in Barbados.
Under s. 27, providers already serving Barbados before commencement must inform the FSC and apply within 3 months, which we calculate as 16 January 2027. As of 4 November 2026 we found no VASP application forms, fees or register on the FSC website.
