Methodology · Argentina
How the Argentina tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- CNV, Registro de PSAV: the spreadsheet behind the “Descargue el Registro PSAV” link (direct download), sheets for legal persons (80 rows) and natural persons (0 rows). Header rows must be unchanged and registration numbers unique.
- CNV General Resolution 1058/2025 (Boletín Oficial, 14 March 2025): each provision summarised here is checked against the Spanish text on every build.
Source Hierarchy
- official CNV, Boletín Oficial.
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Names and Labels
Each PSAV is shown under its trade name where the CNV lists one that differs from the legal name, otherwise under its legal name as listed. Activities are translated from the five categories of the legal definition; the Spanish originals are in the CSV. “Branch of a foreign company” means the legal name says so (SSE, S.S.E. or sucursal). Major brands are flagged when the brand appears in the legal name, trade name or listed website; where it appears only in the website, we show the website as listed and do not rename the firm. “Not on CNV register” covers global brands we checked; it is not a finding about how they serve users in Argentina.
Limits
- The register lists current entries only (80 entries, numbers up to 173), without cancellations, refusals or their dates.
- Entry No. 29 is dated 23 May 2023, before the register was created; shown as listed.
- Websites are as listed, including placeholders such as “En construcción” (under construction).
