What Is Changing

Latvia applies MiCA directly. ESMA's list of grandfathering periods shows a 6-month transitional period, so providers that relied on national rules had to hold a MiCA authorisation by 30 June 2025. ESMA's Article 93 list names Latvijas Banka as competent authority for crypto-asset service providers.

The figures below count entries in ESMA's interim MiCA register (CASPS.csv) with Latvia as home member state, and entries passporting services into Latvia. They are recalculated on every build.
