Methodology · Bermuda
How the Bermuda tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- BMA, Search the regulated entities: every row with sector “Digital Assets Business” (51). We keep name, class, registration number, licence effective and expiry dates and the allowed activities; activity labels are matched from the BMA's wording. Registration numbers are checked for uniqueness. Addresses are not stored.
- BMA, Digital Asset Business: licence classes and activities (phrases checked on every build).
Source Hierarchy
- official Bermuda Monetary Authority.
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Limits
- Effective dates are those of the licence currently shown, not necessarily the first licence.
- Entities that surrendered or lost a licence are not on the register and not covered.
- “Not on the register” is not a finding about how a firm serves users in Bermuda.
