Methodology · El Salvador
How the El Salvador tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- BCR, Registro de Proveedores de Servicios Bitcoin. The page is a web app; we read the same public list it loads (no login) and check its total count. Per entry: name, services (codes mapped to the labels shown on the page, checked on every build), target market, status (registered or suspended, with the BCR's note), the BCR's “operating” field and the date the entry became available. 302 entries: 285 companies and 17 natural persons. Names of natural persons are not stored.
- The legal basis and the note that registration is not an authorisation are read from the page wording on every build.
Source Hierarchy
- official Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador.
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Limits
- This hub does not cover CNAD authorisations under the Digital Assets Issuance Law.
- Removed registrations are not on the list and not covered.
- “Not on the register” is not a finding about how a firm serves users in El Salvador.
