Liechtenstein Crypto Licence FAQ (FMA)
Short answers on which firms are registered or authorised by the FMA for crypto services.
- How many crypto firms are licensed in Liechtenstein?
12 firms are FMA-authorised MiCA crypto-asset service providers in Liechtenstein (ESMA register); 10 more hold only a current TVTG registration and 24 have only ended TVTG registrations (FMA-Register). Full list.
- Is Binance licensed in Liechtenstein?
No FMA-Register entry in the TVTG categories, and no FMA-authorised CASP on ESMA's interim MiCA register, carries the name Binance. That is not a finding about services passported from another EEA state.
- Is a TVTG registration a MiCA licence?
No. The TVTG is Liechtenstein's national token and TT service provider law (in force since 1 January 2020). MiCA authorisations by the FMA are listed on ESMA's interim register.
- Which banks in Liechtenstein are MiCA CASPs?
ESMA's interim register lists Bank Frick AG, Celsion Bank AG, Kaiser Partner Privatbank AG, LGT Bank AG among the FMA-authorised CASPs.
