How the Georgia tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- NBG, Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) Register (Excel, version of 16 Sep 2026), linked from the NBG VASP page. Sheet “Registered”: one head-office row per VASP (43) plus branch rows (20); sheet “Canceled” (1). We keep NBG number, name, commercial name, legal form, identification number, decree number and date, and the city of each office. Numbering, header labels and number uniqueness are checked; each branch row must sit under its own head office. Street addresses and directors are not stored.
- NBG, VASP page: definition of virtual asset services (phrases checked on every build).
- NBG news, 20 June 2023: the registration rule and its entry into force on 1 July 2023 (phrases checked).
Source Hierarchy
- official National Bank of Georgia.
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Limits
- The register does not show which services each VASP provides.
- The NBG publishes the register as a dated file; changes after that date appear only when the NBG publishes a new version.
- “Not on the register” is not a finding about how a firm serves users in Georgia.
