The Rules in Brief
- The law. The Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024 was enacted on 1 September 2024 (FSA).
- Transition. Under section 42, entities with a discernible nexus to Seychelles that operated before the Act had a transitional period that ended on 31 December 2024 to submit a complete licence application in order to continue operating (FSA).
- Assessment. The FSA lists those that submitted a complete application as being in the assessment stage; they are permitted to continue to operate until the FSA decides on the application (FSA).
- Services. The FSA page groups providers as wallet service providers, virtual asset broking, virtual asset exchanges and investment providers.
