How the Philippines tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- BSP, List of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) (PDF, as of 15 Jul 2026): three sections (active non-bank VASPs, inactive/not operational non-bank VASPs, active bank VASPs). We take the institution name, any trade name and the city. The list also names chief executives and gives phone numbers and e-mail addresses; we do not store or republish them.
- BSP Circular No. 1108 (2021), BSP FAQ on Circular No. 1108, Memorandum M-2022-035, Memorandum M-2025-031 and Memorandum M-2026-023. Every phrase relied on is checked on every build. Some of these are scanned documents; the dates of M-2022-035 (10 August 2022; window closed from 1 September 2022) were read from the scan.
Source Hierarchy

Names and Labels
Firms are shown under the trade name the BSP lists where there is one (Coins.ph is written in capitals on the list), otherwise under the institution name. “Not on the BSP list” covers global brands we checked against every institution and trade name on the list; it is not a finding about how they serve users in the Philippines.
Limits
- The Securities and Exchange Commission's rules for crypto-asset service providers and its advisories are not covered: sec.gov.ph blocks our network.
- The BSP list gives no licence dates and does not say which services each firm provides.
- The BSP directory page that links the list blocks our network; we read the PDF at its published address.
