Methodology · Bahrain
How the Bahrain tracker is built. Data is official and read on every build.
Sources
- CBB Licensing Directory: the page loads its tables from public JSON (no login). We read Capital Markets → “Crypto-Asset Services – Category 1” to “Category 4” and “Stablecoin Issuer” (10 rows, 10 institutions). Kept: name, country of incorporation, “Date of Establishment”, type of incorporation, remarks, website. Not stored: P.O. box, telephone, fax, addresses, people. Sub-category names are checked on every build.
- CBB Rulebook, CRA-1.1 for what each category may do; CBB press releases for dated rules (2019, 2025 stablecoins).
Labels
- Licensed: listed in one of the five lists. Under CBB administration: the directory's remark says so. Not listed: a global brand not found by name.
- “Date of Establishment” is shown as the directory labels it; it is not presented as a licence date.
Source Hierarchy
- official Central Bank of Bahrain (directory, Rulebook, press releases).
- company none used.
- press · secondary none used.
Limits
- CBB enforcement actions and warnings about unlicensed firms are not covered yet.
- “Not listed” is not a finding about how a firm serves users in or from Bahrain.
